Welcome to Hasson Alary Design

I am Bo Hasson-Alary, and interior design has long been my passion.  I graduated with a degree in interior design after years of rearranging the furniture in my mom's house, painting all the rooms and buying more things than we could house at flea markets.  My grandfather was an interior designer, so I come by the passion honestly.

My other passion was travel, moving to new places and settling in, to see the world as others do.  I have lived and worked in Milan, Lake Como, England, Boston, New York, Washington DC and Montreal, and now call the Eastern Townships of Quebec home.

I worked in commercial design for years, designing offices, government facilities, multi-family housing, lobbies, restaurants and retail, but what I LOVE is residential design, and that is my focus now.   Home should be your escape, where you gather the things that make you happy around yourself. I love designing custom elements like furniture, lighting, rugs and florals tailored for each project, and filling a home with beautiful art.  Interior design isn't about a designer's signature style and it's not about displaying things for others; it is all about bringing your stories and dreams to life.
